Talking Tubes is a performative site-specific installation that acts as an absurd system of communication between multiple floors of the historic paper mill located in Vicksburg, MI. The whimsical speaking tubes allow for visitors to (mis)communicate between the various floors of the mill, as their multiplicity introduces chaos into a traditionally contained system. The tubes are constructed from plumbing pipes and concrete made from aggregate salvaged from demolition projects within the mill.
