Channels is a feedback system that generates musical compositions from sounds captured from inside the well. At the base of each well form sits a concrete parabolic sound reflector that bounces sound waves to microphones positioned above the wells’ apertures. The sounds captured from one well resonate from the speakers above the other. In this iteration, the voice of my mother singing Chinese lullabies from my childhood resonates from within either well after a span of time, as a performance of eulogy to my late grandfather. the wells are tuned to the pentatonic scale and harmonize with my mother's voice at the forefront of each composition.
